Description
The Checkerboard Aquamarine diamond ring is made of platinum and silver. The design team chose these metals because of their subtle colour differences: Silver is white, and platinum is grey.
Aquamarine has a greenish tone; as in all gems, the colours vary greatly. Aquamarine is either slightly greenish-blue, strongly greenish-blue, or plain blue. However, the most valuable colour is dark blue with a green tinge. Blue Topaz is a crisp blue without the green, not to be confused with Aquamarine. Sometimes, it requires a discerning eye to differentiate between Topaz and Aquamarine.
The Aquamarine gemstone is one of the world’s favourites, not only for its colour but also for its hardness. On the hardness scale, the Mohs Scale of Hardness rates it 7.5 to 8.
As an engagement ring, the Checkerboard Aquamarine diamond ring is perfect.
This ring is a traditional style with a unique artisan twist.
