Description
The Organic, bark-textured wedding ring features highlights that were burnished to add a touch of bling. Hand carving and a reticulation process create an organic bark texture.
Reticulation is a process of achieving texture on the surface of a metal through controlled heat. It is time-consuming but produces excellent results. It is a very organic process, with no two pieces being identical. A skilled person can control the design somewhat, but maintaining focus to keep the piece below the melting point is crucial. Reticulated jewellery and sets from the same section are more valuable.
Due to the organic bark-textured wedding design style, it is non-gender-specific.
The principal aim of the Gold and Silversmiths Guild of Australia is to promote the Guild Mark as a symbol of excellence, honesty and integrity.
All the jewellery is designed and hand-made in Australia on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. They bear the Hallmark of the Gold and Silversmiths Guild of Australia and the Maker’s Mark of Monica Szwaja.
