Description
The Sky blue Topaz pendant with diamonds, gold and silver has a bright, fresh glow.
The colour of the Sky blue Topaz has an uplifting, refreshing look. This unique Sky blue Topaz pendant features subtle, soft, calm tones. The golden highlights paired with the white silver are a pleasant combination, while the small diamonds add a touch of sparkle. Very Pretty.
Sky blue is the most popular Topaz colour. However, Topaz has a broad range of blue shades, from pale blue with a light tone to a deep blue hue. The sparkling tones of blue Topaz are lustrous.
Topaz is a ‘silicate’ mineral, one of the hardest naturally occurring minerals; on the Mohs hardness scale, it is an 8. Friedrich Mohs, a German mineralogist, developed the hardness scale in 1812. Ten minerals, selected for their distinctly different hardness, ranged from an exceedingly soft mineral, such as talc, to a hard mineral, such as diamond. This hardness scale is still in use today.
Due to its clarity, hardness, and beautiful colours, Topaz has become one of the most popular gems.
Pure gold and silver are fused, permanently bonding two metals. Fusion requires heat and pressure to achieve the result for the Sky Blue Topaz pendant. Buffs and powder compounds give the pendant a glistening, sand-like surface texture that glows in the light.
