Description
A Chrysanthemum motif is in the centre of the Petite Petal Pendant with three small diamonds.
The pendant, sweet as it is, has a fallen petal and a Chrysanthemum motif in pure gold. The decorative border around the pendant is Multigrain. This feature was favoured in antiquity and is still used in modern jewellery. The tool forms tiny beads, often around a setting or border.
Pure silver and pure gold fuse together to form a permanent bond to make the Petite Petal Pendant. This process is called Fusion. The metals must be close to the melting point, and pressure must be applied for them to bond. The melting point is when the metals are almost cherry red. This technique requires patience and skill.
